On Saturday, June 28th , we hosted our annual luncheon, Showtime! at the Sheraton Universal Hotel.

The event was a huge success for Valley Village as more than 420 guests attended. Highlights from Showtime! included a Garden Party with live jazz from The West 79th Street Jazz Funk Band, boutique shopping, opportunity drawings, baskets stuffed with luxurious gifts.

Rob Marinko (KABC 790 McIntyre in the Morning) emceed the event. You can hear Rob every morning on 790AM. Sunda Croonquist entertained the crowd with fresh comedy. Sunda performs live every Saturday at the Laugh Factory in Hollywood.

The live auction was watched over by Councilman Dennis P. Zine and Rob Marinko. It included a gorgeous bbq, private tour and tasting for eight at Clos Pegase in Napa, cruiser bikes from Deal or No Deal, a trip to a private villa in Puerto Vallarta, exclusive Dodger’s tickets and experience, a day with Councilman Dennis P. Zine, a morning with Doug McIntyre and Rob Marinko on McIntyre in the Morning, and the opportunity to bid directly towards a trip for the clients of Valley Village. This year’s destination for the men and women of Valley Village is a four hour harbor cruise on a Hornblower Yacht.

This year's Grand Prize was a 6-day trip to The City of Light. Warren Cook of Laguna Niguel was the lucky winner. Other prizes included a trip to Hawaii, a seven-day cruise aboard a Holland America Line ship and a weekend stay at the Intercontinental Hotel Los Angeles/Century City.
