Run with Team Valley Village in the LA Big 5K

Valley Village is an official Nonprofit Partner with the 2021 LA Marathon, Charity Challenge, and the LA Big 5K.

When you join Team Valley Village for any of these three events, you will be supporting Valley Village programs that help women and men with developmental and intellectual challenges live independently as possible. The deadline to register is Friday, October 1, 2021.

Race Schedule is as follows:
6:00am Dodger Stadium Parking Lots Open
6:30am Bib Pick-Up Opens in Parking Lot G
8:00am LA BIG 5K Race Start
9:30am LA 1/2K Kids Run Start

Race Day Parking: Parking for the LA BIG 5K is free at Dodger Stadium.

The LA Big 5K is a family-friendly race open to participants of all ages and abilities, including runners, walkers, and strollers. Experience an iconic run through Los Angeles as you run through beautiful Elysian Park before a rewarding finish set against the backdrop of world-famous Dodger Stadium. All participants will receive a race shirt, finishers medal, post-race refreshments, and a truly unforgettable race experience. This year’s LA Big 5K race takes place on Saturday, November 6, 2021.

The LA Marathon (26.2 miles) and the Charity Challenge (13.1 miles) occur on Sunday, November 7, 2021.

Registration fees and minimum fundraising goals are as follows:

  • LA Big 5K: $40 registration fee per participant with a $350 recommended minimum fundraising goal
  • Charity Challenge (half marathon): $135 registration fee per participant with a $650 recommended minimum fundraising goal
  • LA Marathon (full marathon): $170 registration fee per participant with a $650 recommended minimum fundraising goal.

After registering, you will set up your fundraising page to promote with family, friends, and coworkers. Each participant has a minimum goal to raise $350 for Valley Village.

Create your Team Valley Village Fundraising page for the LA Marathon!

It’s easy to set up your fundraising page. Just go to the link above and select the “Create My Own Fundraising Page” button. Follow the steps to create your page. Be creative. Add a photo of yourself training for the event, and share a message about why supporting Valley Village is a priority for you. We will be sharing fundraising tips and resources to help you reach your goal. We recommend starting with our suggested starting goal. You can change your goal as you raise funds.

Team Valley Village is hosting an information session about the event on Wednesday, August 25, at 5 pm, on Zoom.  We will discuss the event, how to register, and how to begin crowdfunding to help raise funds for Valley Village. CLICK to register for the information session. You MUST register in advance for the information session to attend.

All funds that Team Valley Village participants raise support Valley Village programs that help the women and men we serve to thrive and live independently as possible!

We will also announce ways for volunteers to engage with Valley Village for the LA Big 5K.
