The Karen Linn Home - our next home

The Karen Linn Home

Over the next couple of years, we all have an opportunity to create a special new home for persons with developmental disabilities and are medically fragile. There is a great need for such residential care. We have received a generous bequest from Marion and Ernst Letsch toward this home, named for their daughter, Karen Linn. Now we need your help to raise additional funds in order to fulfill their dream.

Ernie and Marion were great champions of person with developmental disabilities and of Valley Village. During Ernie’s tenure as Valley Village’s President from 1987 until his death in 1991, we developed nine new homes. The clients and families of Valley Village have benefited from Ernie’s kindness and dedication. His wife, Marion, continued his steadfast and philanthropic spirit, lending her support to Valley Village’s annual fundraiser and items needed at Valley Village. Marion passed in 2010.

The Letsch remainder trust gives us a wonderful start toward this new home. We need your help, too, to raise $700,000 for program startup and renovation. As with all Valley Village programs, we want the Karen Linn House to provide the level of care that we would want for ourselves if we needed such care.

With your donation, you can help us create a new home for medically fragile adults with developmental challenges. Every gift counts. Donate now.
