December 1, 2020, is GivingTuesday. GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world.

GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past seven years, it has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.

This GivingTuesday, join Valley Village’s Friendraiser to learn how you can help people with developmental disabilities to live more independently. There are many ways to give, from making donations to volunteering your time. We will host the Friendraiser on Zoom, at 5:30 pm on Tuesday, December 1, 2020. Email info@valleyvillage.org to RSVP for the Friendraiser. There is no cost to attend, but you must RSVP by Monday, November 30th. We will send the Zoom link on Tuesday, December 1, to all confirmed attendees.  Please invite family and friends to join so they can join and learn more about Valley Village and how to get involved!

If you would like to make a contribution to Valley Village this GivingTuesday, visit our donation page.

Families of Valley Village day program participants and residents understand the impacts of our work. They’ve experienced firsthand the care and compassion that Valley Village provides the women and men we serve. This year, a Valley Village parent wanted to share her story and her daughter’s. We hope you enjoy Christina’s story.

Help us get the word out on social media, using @ValleyvillageLA (Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter) and the hashtag #GivingTuesday. Post an #UNselfie of yourself and tell the world why you love to give back to Valley Village.
