Gold Rush at Sagebrush was held on Thursday, May 18, 2023, at The Sagebrush Cantina in Calabasas. This country-western-themed event offered fun ways to engage with and support Valley Village and our mission, including live music performed by American Idol Contestant and former Valley Village Music Teacher Juno Rada, fun activities, and our live and silent auctions. Part of the fun includes wearing a western-themed costume! All attendees are encouraged to wear their favorite country-western-themed attire and get creative with the color gold! Plus, all attendees in costume are automatically added to our costume contest!
This celebration will unite community members, corporate executives, elected officials, Valley Village Legacy and Board Members, and significant donors. In addition to supporting our day and residential programs, this event funds our weekend community engagement program (Super Saturdays) for residential clients.
Valley Village provides services for adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities, including, but not limited to, healthcare, housing, day program services, transportation, and recreation in community-based settings. Valley Village takes a person-centered approach to care that helps each person in our programs live as independently as possible and thrive.
Supporting Valley Village through sponsorships and volunteerism at events helps raise awareness for people with developmental and intellectual challenges, unites communities, and helps to fund Valley Village’s programs that help individuals with developmental disabilities live more independently. Your support and engagement throughout 2023 help raise awareness within your organization about our work while helping Valley Village raise funds to support our critical work. The funds we raise with community support fill gaps that state funding does not cover in our mission to provide high-quality care. We appreciate your consideration and support!
